Job Description
Dematic Corp has an immediate need for a dynamic, growth-oriented Operations Engineering Manager based in Hebron, KY. We are seeking candidates from the Automotive, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Material Handling markets with a strong Engineering background. The successful candidate must have a background in Electrical / Controls Engineering.
Key
Responsibilities:
Establishes, leads, and manages a team of engineering professionals in the Hebron area. This includes interviewing candidates and making hiring recommendations to staff the office. The successful candidate will:
Provide overall technical leadership for the office
Define work flows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness
Interfaces/interacts with external customers
Participates in key decisions for the local office
Develop and manage departmental budgets and/or business plans
Be responsible for continuously enhancing and improving existing policies, products, and methods
Identify resource needs and develop justifications
Troubleshoot and resolve very complex problems and design issues
Recommend organizational structures and supervisory relationships for the Hebron office
Responsible for the overall success of functions and projects based out of this location
Education:
Typically a Bachelors Degree or advanced degree.
Knowledge and
Experience:Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area managed and basic knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact. Demonstrates understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action. Must have Conveyor Systems background and knowledge. Typically 10
years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Experience managing teams of 30 or more engineers.
Direction of Others:
Typically manages multiple levels of exempt employees and/or supervisors.
