The LTL Coordinator is responsible to support the optimization efforts of inbound shipping at our Groupon Goods Warehouse in Hebron, KY.
Responsibilities:
Manage shipping order process within Transportation Management System (TMS). Manually enter order information if needed.
Manage order consolidation, mode determination, routing and carrier selection processes with the TMS.
Find new carriers, qualify, select and contract them in cases where the TMS does not provide an effective routing.
Monitor carriers pick up time at suppliers and on-time delivery to the specified destination.
Present carrier performance deviations to carriers at time of occurrence, log these occurrences for further follow up.
Monitor all deliveries against planned window times and ensure deviations are identified to receiving department prior to delivery.
Identify, coordinate, and initiate the response to load exceptions.
Manage daily/weekly requests for short-term volume fluctuations.
Notify all applicable parties in the event of abnormal updates and exceptions.
Optimize inbound shipping within a specific region in order to reduce time from pick-up to delivery.
Optimize inbound shipping within a specific region in order to reduce transportation cost.
Job Requirements:
3-5 year's experience as a Load Planner.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, communicates effectively with internal and external customers both large and small groups.
Effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
Must be proficient with the following:
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with daily use of Excel.
Proficient with utilizing a TMS load planning duties.
Excellent attention to detail with proficient data entry /typing skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Fast paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to learn new software systems and tasks quickly.
Ability to work specified shift at the set wage amount.
Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
