Job Purpose:
Receives raw product and serves customers by completing product receiving tickets; verifying shipments; entering data; answering questions; referring inquiries.
Job Duties May Include:
Verifies and documents product received by comparing product transported vs. received; completing receiving tickets; ensuring correctness of information and weights.
Directs scale use by providing instructions and weighing raw products.
Audits product quality by inspecting and returning defective products.
Enters customer and account data by inputting receiving ticket data and updating existing receiving accounts to the computer system.
Provides account information by answering questions and requests; generating reports; compiling information.
Transfers product between warehouses by reviewing and maintaining production requirements.
Maintains receiving files by placing bills of lading, sales order, and related documents to customer files.
Accomplishes receiving department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
