Distribution Manager

Job Description
Responsible for the overall strategy and day-to-day operations of Fram Group's distribution network. Manages three subordinate Engineers/Analysts for the Hebron (KY) Distribution Center with an advisory responsibility to the Mexico City Distribution Center. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Overall accountability for day-to-day Shipping Performance for Fram Group, which includes but is not limited to Order Accuracy & On-Time Delivery Key Performance Metrics
Overall budgetary accountability for Hebron operating costs including property lease costs, leased equipment, maintenance, 3PL, building services and infrastructure.
Overall accountability for process improvement and year over year cost reduction.
Overall accountability for capital projects from idea through implementation.
Setting strategic direction for Fram Group's distribution network, consistent with business strategy.
Project management for design, execution and implementation of key distribution transformation projects within Fram Group.
Responsible for managing the 3PL contractual and operational relationship.
Overall responsibility for safety for the Hebron site
Overall responsibility for regulatory compliance for the Hebron site.
Overall responsibility relationship with the Hebron landlord
Job Requirements
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related discipline.
An MBA or APICS certification would be desirable.
Prior experience in an automotive parts after-market business would be desirable.
Working knowledge of Distribution Center processes, technology, and metrics.
Strong project management and collaboration skills.
A demonstrated ability to work well in multidiscipline projects. This role interfaces with every other functional area, at every level of the organization from VP's to individual contributors.
Strategic outlook and analytical skills to design, sell, implement and update a distribution strategy responsive to changing business needs.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to others.
Ability to work efficiently and to plan one's time effectively given multiple requests and time constraints.
A natural tendency to be a self-starter and self-manager who takes responsibility for results and timelines.
