POSITION
Summary:
This position will be responsible for operating a class 8 combination Commercial Motor Vehicle. It will require a high level of safety awareness and working with a co-driver. This typically includes moving freight from vendors, distribution centers, factories, delivering to distribution centers, factories, and customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND

Safely drive truck from pick-up to delivery locations of cargo from our suppliers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers and /or customers via interstate commerce

Logistically link our Gates locations with optimum truckload performance providing maximum customer satisfaction with minimum of down time and cost.

Professionally operate equipment as dispatched. Maintain a good image of the company through professional driving ensuring safety and reliability

Complete necessary paperwork and/or computer entry to transfer freight and log activity

Safeguard cargo, equipment, and comply with all laws, regulations, and reporting requirements

The Gates fleet Driver has responsibility to know all aspects of federal DOT regulations and have a current CDL license

Work with shipping, receiving, & personnel at Gates facilities, vendor locations, and customer locations

Schedule maintenance and repair with maintenance provider
