The Amazon Air Program is seeking highly motivated individuals to be a part of the new Network Control Center team. The Program Manager will be responsible to identify, design, develop, and execute new processes, policies, goals and solutions that increase delivery efficiency, reduce errors, decrease costs, and improve the companyu2019s overall daily air network operations. This position will work to develop scalable long-term solutions to improve economics and create innovative solutions which deliver world-class flight operations solutions This position will require strong communication with managers, peers and team members, both within their immediate department, as well as with other departments and business partners to drive effective solutions to complex challenges. Provide team and business partners with necessary tools, resources and training to meet or exceed all operational performance goals, improve operational metrics, and lead by providing guidance on scheduling, hiring and training. This position will create and report air metrics to improve specific assigned areas within the overall air program. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Serving as a key leader of the Network Control teamn
Partnering with internal business units including air network planning, ground transportation, and the sortation network to effectively manage day-to-day operationsn
Creating appropriate metrics to continually improve airline operationsn
Communicating effectively with both external (Service Providers, Carriers, Vendors) and internal (Finance, Technology, Sort Centers, Fulfillment Centers) customersn
Creating reports and process improvement initiatives to improve air and ground operationsn
Communicating goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and delivery to project schedulesn
Address barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination with stakeholdersn
Working within time constraints to meet business critical needs (often managing multiple, time-sensitive and high priority initiatives simultaneously), while measuring and identifying activities performed and ensuring service requirements are met.n
Able to systematically escalate problems or variances in the operating plan to the relevant owners and teams, following through to resolution to ensure they are delivered.n
Navigating through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitmentsn Successful candidates will have the following skills/

Must be highly proficient in written and oral communications and be able to produce concise, relevant, strategically driven documents and presentations to leadersn
Proven track record of problem solving skills and ability to use analytical tools is required, while analytic experience in the areas of transportation or network management is strongly preferredn
Demonstrated experience in working in cross functional organizationsn
Must have an ability to manage and execute multiple priorities in a timely manner across multiple projectsn
Experience managing in a flight operations, transportation network control or airline system operations environmentn
Must demonstrate the ability to influence internal and external organizations to achieve corporate goals, including the ability to influence and manage upward as necessarynnBasic Qualificationsn

Bacheloru2019s degree in aviation, business, operations management, industrial engineering or related fieldn

years of progressive airline, cargo, or transportation responsibilitiesn
Must hold a valid passport and be willing to travel. Domestic travel required up to 10% of the time.nnPreferred Qualifications n

Master's degree or foreign equivalency in Business Administration, Engineering, or operations managementn
Extensive experience in the ground transportation, freight forwarding, airline, cargo ground handling or air freight industryn
Developing or managing complex logistical processesn
